Dave Ballam rolled back the years today to be the winner at Burley Golf Course on a wet, cold day in February. Although we have had shocking weather this week the course was open with only the use of 4 temporary greens and Dave’s self proclaimed “old man” style of golf suited this very narrow course. Our smallest group so far played out at Iford on a rather pleasant day, with perfect golf conditions. Gary Martin once again was the star of the show with not only the award of best score on the day, but he also won the “Longest Drive” and “Closest to the Pin” competitions. Jake Brooks pushed him all the way with a record tying score of 41 points but Gary won with a new society record of 42 points. Lee Charlton also picked up a record for most expensive round ever taking 84 shots on the back 9 alone, and totaling 142 shots in total.
